Browsing data

While the website is being browsed, the hosting provider's systems record some technical data in the server logs: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type and operating system. This data is necessary for the operation and security of the website (legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is retained for the technical period set by the provider.

Contact form

Submitting the form on the Contact page involves the processing of name, email address, subject, message text, IP address, date and time of submission. The data is used solely to respond to the request and for any follow-up (legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Providing the data is optional, but without the required data the request cannot be handled.

Messages are kept for the time needed to handle the request and then deleted, unless legal obligations or a subsequent relationship apply. To limit automated submissions, a hashed version of the IP address is kept on the server for one hour.

Scheduling a call

The “Schedule a call” button links to an external Google Calendar page. Data entered on that page is processed by Google LLC in accordance with its privacy policy.

The website uses only cookies and storage technologies strictly necessary for its operation, for which consent is not required. No profiling cookies, traffic analytics tools or tracking pixels are used. The Cloudflare Turnstile service, used to protect the contact form from automated submissions, may store technical data in the browser for the sole purpose of completing the verification.

Data may be processed, as processors or independent controllers, by the following providers:

1. 01OVH SAS (OVHcloud), Roubaix, France: website hosting and email service. Data is processed within the European Union.
2. 02Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA: Turnstile service for anti-spam verification of the contact form; it processes the IP address and technical browser data. Any transfer outside the EU takes place with the safeguards provided for in Articles 44 et seq. GDPR.
3. 03Google LLC, Mountain View, USA: Calendar service for scheduling calls, reached via an external link.

Data is not disclosed or sold to third parties for marketing purposes. It may be communicated to the competent authorities in the cases provided for by law.

Pursuant to Articles 15-22 GDPR, the data subject may request access to their data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and may object to processing. Requests should be sent to luciano@melamedialab.it. A complaint may also be lodged with the Italian Data Protection Authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
